HO Scale Desert Layout Project - 24-6 |
It is time for an update on my HO layout (after 8 years) |
(just click on the
4-digit number for bigger size photos)
As usual, I am taking a huge amount of photos from a scene to show a lot of
different views.
The Mormon Rocks were created out of Styrofoam as per this photo which I took some years ago. |

Because of space limitations on a layout we
cannot show the different elements placed like in real life.
WL-3500 Yes, Highway 138 is passing the Mormon Rocks and the RR tracks, but is having 2 overpasses over BNSF MT-3 and BNSF MT-1 and 2 and 1 underpass under the UP track and the Mormon Rocks are just next to it. We also made a dirt road going to Hill 582 which would be much further away in real. Well these are the compromises in creating a model railroad with some famous icons included. |

Overview of the layout (each square is 0,5 m) |

I started with my layout in late
December 2007 and it was finally finshed in late September 2015.
In the meantime, I made some detailing with city signs, billboards, figures,
vehicles etc.
