4-digit number for bigger size photos)
As usual, I am taking a huge amount of photos from a scene to show a lot of
sequences.
On this page are photos inside Office 2 of the Cajon Pass Area (Hill 582, WSI, Mormon Rocks) West side of the Tunnels, Flyover and along the shelf. |
My part of Cajon Pass is actually between the walls of Office 2 and just 5 m (16,4 feet) long. In other words, it is extremely squized together from WSI (Silverwood) to Hill 582 and the Mormon Rocks. In the real world, WSI is at MP 56.7 and the Mormon Rocks are at MP 62.2 = total length of 5,5 miles (8,85 km). Well, these are the compromises we have to accept in building a layout. |
The Westside of the Tunnels are located in Office 2 | |
We start our tour at the right side, where the
tracks are coming from Office 1. Take a look at the Tunnels West Portals, inside
Office 2. Afterwards, we will be see the Cajon Pass area with West Summit Island, Hill 582, Mormon
Rocks, Flyover and along the shelf. These photos were taken in December 2015 |

well, ther is a big copy machine inside office 2, but it does not really disturb the Cajon Pass area - 2339 |
Hill 582 is a Railfans' Paradise. Don Toles
is the "Hillkeeper" and taking care of the Hill. But there are other gentlemen involved: Gary Gray, Marc Fournier, Jerry Shinar and some others as well. |
|
my scale version of Hill 582 is parallel to the tracks - 2205 | but in real life, it is actually square to the tracks - 2206 |
