Dodge Challenger (1:10 Scale) by Kyosho |
|
This is my original 2018 Dodge Challenger SXT after the "Design by MEER" has been applied. |
2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat (1:10 Scale)
I wanted to have a large scale model of my "custom
made" Challenger. Well, 1:18 scale was too small, so I used a 1:10 scale
Kyosho RC (electric) model. It is not exactly identical to my 1:1
Challenger. The front end and the hood are different, but all in all it does
fulfill my needs. Too bad, but this model is not available in white color,
but "plum crazy" purple only. So, it was the time to do a lot of masking, spray paint white, much more masking and spray paint gold. Even this model is not superdetailed, but the over all impression is satisfactory and I am pleased with the result. |

300 - The side strip is simplified with only one (lower) white stripe and non on the upper side, as I did not have the proper (narrow) size masking tape. Well, sometimes we have to live with compromises !!
301 | |
302 - On this model, the lower front grill was just a
decal and could not be used. Therefore, I have to find some kind of grill which I can cut to size and paint in gold color and glue it at the end. |
|
303 - The hood is completely different and so, I just created a possible design with the golden areas.

from above we can see the hood with the golden stripes
if we open the hood, the enigne cover was also painted in gold
of course, even on the motor cover we show: design by meer
Factory Interior was all black.
As I do not like the black interior, I am trying to find a solution for a beige interior. Katzkin Leather could deliver seat covers and more in beige color. |

The time has come to get a differnt view of my Challenger
I wanted to get a different view from my car and therefore, I made another shooting from above. Well, to be honest, car freaks are never getting enough because it is a lot of fun.
the design of the hood looks great - 278 | the trunck is clean (no stripes) - 279 |

Did anyone note: There is no more black outside except the tires !! |
After all,
my special designed Challenger is finished and ready for the road.
To do all modifications it took all in all 6 months. But it was worth to wait
because the result is outstanding.
Thank you for browsing this Challenger photo page. Of
course, I am aware, not everybody likes this design. But for me, it is my personal customizing project I was always dreaming of. My inspiration to do this project was the one and only Chip Foose. I was able to meet Chip in person at his Huntington Beach "Foose Design" shop and during the 2015 SEMA show in Las Vegas: https://www.trainmaster.ch/XC-49-12.htm Werner Meer - August 30, 2020 |
