| Finally I get some photos ready. These were taken a few days before my friend and I went back down the hill to Stockton for the annual Winterail show. After 37 years in Stockton the show will be moving to Corvallis, Oregon. Google "Winterail" for more info. We started at Sacramento airport where I got picked up and we headed up the UP (former SP) Donner Line, also known as the Sierra Crossing. The captions should provide a good clue. Our first train was at Rocklin, just outside Roseville. Next was Gold Run. This is on the west side of the Sierras. Most of our trains were in Truckee and east of Truckee as far as Boca. I hope this provides enough information you can follow the photos. | |
