G Scale 1:29 "Moosecreek" Indoor Layout by Urs Weibel

In 2015, by chance, I was able to rent a classroom in the old schoolhouse in the neighboring community, in which, after a long period of planning and some headache, I set up a reasonably suitable indoor layout. In principle, it is a switch system with the integration of a third of my Howe Truss Bridge (model formerly in Bonners Ferry ID over the Kootenay River) as well as the Coaling Tower built in 2010 based on the model of the towers on the Tennessee Pass Line of the D&RGW. After around seven years of operation, I can draw a positive conclusion. Due to the ingenious track plan, extensive switching options are available and the entire Coaltrain of around 20 m in length can still be operated. The system also serves as a display for my rolling stock, with the converted, aged and self-digitized diesel engines.

G Scale 1:29 "Moosecreek" Outdoor Layout by Urs Weibel

After the 15th convention around 10 years ago (2012), I decided not to build up my outdoor railway line around our house in the Graubünden mountains anymore. The great effort involved in setting up and dismantling in early summer and autumn was one of the main reasons. The maintenance of the tracks due to birch leaves and larch needles was always very difficult.
