In memory of Dave Burton, who passed away on 11/05/2004. He was a great photographer and published the Tehachapi Calendar. On photo 30629 we can see his house, which is located between Tunnel 10 and Marcel. The house can even be seen on photo 30631 (left side). On 12/11/2004, this curve got a sign: Burton's Curve. our journey to Tehachapi is already over. Next stop is Daggett. Here is the BNSF Mojave Main Line coming from Needles to Barstow and further to the North (Tehachapi) and to the West over Cajon Pass. In addition, UP is joining the BNSF Main Line w/trackage rights. |
